Hello all, I'm a 32yo newbie gamer. I've played LotRO for the last 2 years (or so) and have also tried Rift and DDO. Due to my interest in TESO I thought I'd look into Skyrim, since I heard so much about it and also because it's not an MMO and you can play offline (I live in Australia and have super expensive limited data usage - 8gb ). I 'should' hopefully receive my parcel with my discs later this week and you can be sure I'll be posting my first impressions. I'm ridiculously excited to try it! If I like it enough I might even delve into the TES back catalogue and buy Oblivion and Morrowind. I did try and search for the TES Anthology but with no luck.

Anyhoo, that's my boring old introduction - you'll have to excuse me, I just woke up and haven't had my morning caffeine injection yet. It's a surprise I can even manage to use the computer without it

G'day Cupcake! Welcome to the forums! I don't have the data limit problem but I do have the speed problem (0.5Mbps), so I know how you feel with not being able to join in on the ESO fun!
Hope you like Skyrim when you get the discs, I have spent over 400 hours there and think it's great.

As well as all the ES stuff, there's lots of other things going on in the forums, like Roleplays, Competitions and General Discussions too.

I'm guessing you like cakes, so here's a sweetroll for ya.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll check out the rest of the forum. Right now I'm trying to think of my character and her personality and background. I normally play a caster (if you are familiar with LotRO I play a Rune Keeper, Minstrel and Lore Master as my main characters). I like the idea of building my own character and their "class" from the ground up. I just hope it won't be too overwhelming! I'm trying to read up on ES lore, so that my character will be more able to fit in more.

I tried finding some beginners guides but it seems as though it's a "go an make your own fun" kind of game. Not sure what I should be playing first to ease my way into the game.
