The End (Non Canon Omake)
Black sand in all directions as far as you can see with the only thing standing out are the crumbling plateaus sticking out of the sand like fingers reaching for the sky. A red sun reflects off the sand creating illusions of water in this dead land. No one is left to see the last sights of a dyeing world, no one except a hooded figure resting atop a half buried dragon skull.
A decrepit Psaras sits on his sister's skull watching as the Sun slowly dies sad that one of his final companions is starting to fade away as Helios was unable to bear watching his sister fall apart any longer. Psaras senses that Helios will use what remains of his power to go supernova and destroy what remains so Psaras rises lifting one arm carrying a jagged axe and raising a wooden arm towards the sky as a thin blue shield covering the sky as to not let Gaea be destroyed as she is all he has left even though she stopped manifesting millennia ago.
The Sun explodes into a vibrant Gold reminiscent of before the Gods fell and even though Psaras is crying blood due to the stress of stopping it Psaras can't help but smile as he reminisces on the good times and as he sees all the pieces of a fragmented moon rejoin her brother and Gold paints the sky he feels something and looks down to see his leg start to Fade causing the shield to flicker a bit before settling as Psaras knows his time has come as well.
When the Gold stops being replaced by darkness with only far away stars giving any light Psaras keeps the shield going even though it is making him Fade faster just to hold the illusion that the sky is still blue and the world hasn't ended: He can almost hear the sound of running water... as it all ends Psaras can't help but remember what caused this.
When the Gods and Titans clashed again no Gods thought about the Mortals and how they would react to natural disasters covering the world causing famines, droughts, earthquakes, floods, tornados and extreme weather. There was no Plucky Demigod son of Poseidon to turn the tides against the Titans as he died after being left under the Sky for too long as a weakened Artemis took too long getting Atlas back under the sky Percy died in Annabeth's lap choking on his own blood. Psaras was charged with stopping other Pantheons from intervening and was running himself ragged from having to fight off skirmishes on all sides so he couldn't help out.
With the World seemingly ending who can honestly blame the Mortals for what they did Psaras certainly didn't. No one knows why they did it Athena theorized that it was just a small disagreement that slowly escalated with tempers running high someone pushed the button... Then everybody did. The world was covered in Nuclear Fire leaving nothing left but the Divine and even they felt the effects of Radiation weakening them.
You would think that the Gods would have atleast mourned the World before they resumed hostilities but as soon as the World burned it became a deathmatch between the different Pantheons and as Divine Ichor corrupted and turned black by the radiation dyed the land black Olympus won against all odds. Even Psaras didn't know how they won until after he had to put down Athena who went berserk after she randomly started to dissolve in front of him and Psaras realized that the other Pantheons weren't fighting to become "The One True Pantheon" they were going out with a bang before the radiation slowly ate away at their bodies and minds.
Psaras had to kill many Gods he loved but that didn't bother him as nothing really did after the loss of Ryzi and later Khione dying in a Skirmish with the Chinese Pantheon dying to Zhu Rong the Chinese God of Summer, for a long time after Psaras was numb to the world. His children helped but after he had to put down Janus after she got stuck in between a constant state of dissolving and rebuilding Psaras left walking the wastes in silence besides the occasional attack by a corrupted God.
So Psaras walked seeing all there is to see killing all that tries to kill him, he saw Khione once... in the Black Sands just watching him with a sad look in her eyes before she was blown away by non existent mirror. It took a long time for Psaras to recover even slightly from what he has seen and had to do but he was helped by a few Gods who could hide in different realms like his sister Persephone or Helios who never rarely leaves the sun after Selene died after the struggle between different moon gods tore the moon apart. Eventually the Radiation started leaking into realms connected to the Earth so they disconnected with Persephone and Hades begging Psaras to come with but Psaras would rather stay then be locked in a Realm drifting through the Void where any Eldritch being could attack at any moment.
Psaras would end up going back to Ryzi and wait out the end with his sister Charybdis as he feels like even while dead she would like the company.
With his lower half dissolved Psaras makes a choice and rips out his own heart with Humility before planting Humility in the dirt.
"Maybe Gaea... will find it when she... wakes up..." A tree would sprout from an Artifact that drank the Ichor of thousands of Gods and ate some of the strongest monster's growing using the blood of Gods as fertilizer eventually growing to encompass the entire Planet cleaning it of Radiation and creating a strange new environment with the Heart of a Dying God resting in it's center waiting for a Slumbering Gaea to awaken.
Alright there is another Sidestory showing a doomed Timeline that runs slightly closer to the PJO Canon with a Psaras who listens more to the Olympus Council.
Psaras survived by replacing his arm that started to dissolve with Humility as it ate the Radiation that tried to corrupt him. I don't know why I wrote this dark Timeline but I did and I thought ya'll would enjoy it.
There is no longer any inner ringed planets besides Earth and after Helios fed all of his essence into the sun it briefly went Supernova before turning back into a Red Sun that is going to turn into a White Dwarf, Earth's ecosystem and environment is entirely dependent on the Tree that forms from Psaras's Heart and Humility and due to Psara's Heart being in the center a fragment of Psaras slumbers in the tree providing direction in the terraforming of Earth.
