STATE Houghton Lake angler makes a toothy catch HOUGHTON LAKE Robert Pennel says he knew something was strange when the fish he'd just hooked in Houghton Lake jumped "a good six feet" out of the water. His catch was an 11-inch silver piranha. David Smith, a state fisheries biologist, said the toothy fish was a tropical variety of piranha. "It appears someone got tired of this in their aquarium and let it loose in the wild," Smith said. The fish couldn't have survived a Michigan winter, he said.

HANSEN MARGARETA E. Of San Diego. Left us July 13, 1994. Born in Stockholm, Sweden October 20, 1925. She became an Air Hostess for Scandinavian Airlines System upon its forming in 1946, flying on new routes to New York, Rome and South America.

Mrs. Hansen accompanied her husband Rupert, a pilot for SAS, to the United States in settled in the Detroit, Michigan, area for 27 years, before retiring to San Diego in 1978. She was active for many years in Children's Hospitals. Survived by her loving husband of 46 years; dearest mother of Rupert, Jr. of San Francisco, and daughters Suzanne and Linda, grandmother to Kelly, Kristin, Chrissy, Courtney, Danny, and Emily all of Michigan.

Also survived by her sister Brigitta, aunts Ingrid and Karin residing in Stockholm, Sweden. As she wished, her ashes will be returned to Sweden by her husband.
